Egypt will inaugurate on Monday the fourth edition of the Egypt Defence Expo (EDEX 2025) under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

The event, held at the Egypt International Exhibition Centre, brings together global defense-sector leaders to showcase the latest innovations and strategic partnerships under one roof.

The gathering further strengthens Egypt’s position as a key gateway for defense industries into Africa and Asia and provides a platform for exchanging expertise and forging global strategic ties.

Running from 1 to 4 December, the high-profile event will host major exhibitors and leading regional and international companies in the defense, armaments and security sectors.

Official delegations from more than 100 countries and nearly 45,000 specialized visitors will take part in the event, reflecting global confidence in Egypt’s organizational capacity, regional leadership in Africa and the Middle East, and its appeal to defense and tourism investment.

In a recent international press conference attended by ambassadors, military attachés, strategic experts and media representatives, the Armed Forces revealed details of the event, which is receiving strong political backing and serves as a prominent global platform for showcasing Egypt’s defense capabilities.

This year’s exhibition is organized by the Armed Forces, the Ministry of Military Production, the Arab Organization for Industrialization, Arab International Optronic, the Federation of Egyptian Industries and the National Service Projects Organization.

The 2025 edition is being organized without the involvement of a foreign event-management company—a key milestone reflecting Egypt’s growing expertise.

A dedicated organizing committee has been formed from teams involved in previous editions to ensure the continuity and transfer of knowledge required for hosting major international exhibitions.

A major feature of this year’s edition is the integration of Egypt’s military and civilian manufacturing capacities. For the first time, civilian industrial sectors represented by the Federation of Egyptian Industries are partially involved after an assessment of their advanced capabilities confirmed their ability to manufacture certain components and equipment to the same quality as foreign products.

More than 260 items have been locally produced through collaboration between the Armed Forces and civilian factories, paving the way for stronger partnerships.

EDEX 2025 will display an extensive range of military and industrial products from leading global and regional companies, including the latest defense technologies and systems, as well as Egyptian-made defense products from national factories.

The exhibition is expected to help forge regional and international defense partnerships, facilitate the signing of memoranda of understanding and build strong strategic links with major states and industrial entities.

It will also bring significant economic, media and promotional returns by offering international exposure to Egyptian-made products already exported to several countries.

The event also provides an opportunity to observe rapid advances in weapons technology, with major industrial manufacturers presenting their products and demonstrating operational capabilities.

The first edition of EDEX was launched in 2018 and has quickly become a leading platform for defense innovation and international cooperation.
