The meeting also dwelt on the transfer of postal materials received from all countries to the Logistics Exchange Centre in Egypt for processing and re-sending them to Sudan via land freight, in order to ensure the continuation of postal work in Sudan after the suspension of flights, the statement added.

For his part, Dr Farouk affirmed Egypt’s keenness to stand by the Republic of Sudan and its brotherly people in providing all possible assistance meant to alleviate burdens.

He noted that the two post authorities are in constant communication and continuous cooperation to facilitate the process of sending food parcels to the Sudanese people via the Egyptian Post Authority, in addition to exchanging experiences to imitate the success story the Egyptian Post has witnessed in applying the digital transformation and the financial inclusion mechanisms.

For his part, Dr Adam Mohamed Al-Hajj, Director General of the Sudanese Post, expressed his thanks for the warm reception and good spirit that he felt in his second country, Egypt.

He also thanked the Egyptian state and its political leadership for the efforts exerted to support the Sudanese people during the crisis they are going through.

“Egypt Post is a main supporter of the Suda Post during the past period,” Mohamed Al-Hajj said, wishing that all means of cooperation between the two sides be doubled and new services be initiated to ease burden on the Sudanese people due to the current circumstances.
