In continuation of the Egyptian innovation system’s leadership in various international forums, BOKDOC, the surgical procedures leading platform in the Middle East, announced today it has won the World Summit Award as the best project contributing to improving and increasing capacities of societies to achieve sustainable development goals. It will be honoured during the WSA Global Congress, held in Vienna next March. The award came after the Egyptian platform competed with over 182 countries from all over the world and qualified for finals by the decision of a jury consisting of experts from 23 countries. The platform’s business volume growth rate approaches 22% per month.
Commenting on this statement, Dr. Ahmed El-Awady, co-founder and CEO of BOKDOC platform, said: “We are proud of this award, which we consider an important step towards health care development that we believe in our constructive role in achieving. He noted that the award contributes to advancing the platform’s future visions towards securing a specialised and integrated medical system in the surgical procedures field, and offering an innovative tool that provides added value to patients around the world, starting with medical examinations and the services of the Patient Care Department, which includes a selection of doctors, through connecting the patient to the best surgeon in proportion to their medical condition, noting that the platform is based on the principle of transparency as the surgeon is chosen based on the reviews of former patients who underwent this operation with the same surgeon, which results in a higher safety rate, and that was the main reason for winning the award.”
He added:”Our future vision of expansion is based on providing integrated health services in surgical operations to various countries. As a leading company in the field of entrepreneurship, Saudi Arabia will be our next destination, while we plan to expand in the United Arab Emirates by the end of this year 2022.”
