A co-operation protocol in digital transformation, distance education, and smart electronic services was signed in the presence of Lieutenant General Abdel Moneim El-Terras, Chairman of the Arab Organisation for Industrialisation and Eng. Yasser Shaker, CEO and Managing Director of Orange Egypt.
The agreement comes within the framework of the Egyptian strategy to enhance constructive co-operation and utilise national manufacturing capabilities that implement Egypt’s Sustainable Development Strategy: Egypt vision 2030.
As part of cultivating a prosperity path towards inclusive development, the co-operation will cover the implementation of digital transformation for several sectors, ministries, governorates, educational institutions, hospitals, in addition to transportation projects and smart roads. Additionally, the protocol entails establishing and equipping data centres and various communication networks “Wi-Fi and Fiber”, and distance education applications and programmes (E-learning – LMS – Tablets).
In this regard, Lieutenant General Abdel Moneim Al-Terras praised Orange Egypt’s expertise in the field of communications, information technology, and digital transformation while highlighting Orange Egypt’s highly qualified teams and their capabilities towards the latest advanced technologies.
For his part, Eng. Yasser Shaker praised the close and constructive co-operation with the Arab Organisation for Industrialisation, which is an Egyptian, Arab and international organisation as it is considered as the industrial backbone of the state for the localisation of technology and digital transformation,. He also praised the role of the Arab Industrialisation and its expertise in implementing various industrial and economic development projects in accordance with the Fourth Industrial Revolution standards.
Shaker said that Orange Egypt is proud of being the first operator and partner for the Arab Organisation for Industrialisation in this regard. He added that this joint co-operation will contribute to the localisation of the latest modern technologies in digital transformation applications, e-education, communication and information systems in accordance with international quality standards based on Orange’s local and international expertise and qualified cadres that can provide, manage and operate all services with high quality and efficiency.
