Lexmark, the global printer industry leader, proudly announces its acquisition of the largest market share in Egypt with 62% of total sales of multi-function printers during the first quarter of 2023, according to International Data Corporation (IDC) – a global market intelligence firm. This was made possible by the extended collaboration between Lexmark and Raya Electronics, the largest strategic partner of Lexmark in Egypt and one of the key B2B players in the electronics and IT solutions industries.

Raya Electronics, as the key partner for Lexmark in Egypt, has concluded a number of strategic deals with many of its corporate and government clients, meeting their needs for various printing devices and solutions offered by Lexmark.

The CEO of Raya Electronics, Bassem Megahed, expressed his appreciation for the strong partnership with Lexmark, recognizing the company as a leading player in the global industry. According to Mr. Megahed, Raya Electronics has maintained an active role in servicing high-profile government and private institutions, securing the biggest market share in the B2B market for electronics, IT solutions, and services. Mr. Megahed noted that Raya Electronics’ commitment to delivering exceptional service and products is achieved through working with partners who share their values of excellence. This invaluable partnership with Lexmark has underscored their commitment to delivering best-in-class services and product offerings.

“We are proud to be Lexmark’s primary strategic partner in Egypt,” Megahed continued, “as this alliance is a key pillar of our leadership in offering a range of printing solutions that rationalize consumption in a methodical and efficient way. Raya has offered Lexmark products, solutions, and after-sales services for a well-diversified clientele base. Our client portfolio includes over 500 clients from top businesses, government agencies, banks, educational and cultural institutions, energy companies, tourism businesses, and new residential complexes, among others.

Sinan Emon, CEO of Lexmark Middle East and Southern Europe, commented: “We are delighted with our partnership with Raya Electronics, as this cooperation adds great value to users of our products and services. Especially, as we continue to focus on strengthening our B2B operations in Egypt, supplying businesses with cutting-edge solutions and products,  that help in boosting cost reduction and productivity.” “We are cognizant of modern business requirements for integrated solutions to achieve success, and leverage our experience in the technology and printing industries, to offer these distinguished solutions,” added Emon.

Emon continued: “Lexmark has a long history of providing businesses and organizations all over the world with top-notch printing products and solutions. We strive to build long-term relationships with our clients and deliver premium after-sales support. In collaboration with key partners, most notably Raya, Lexmark will play a critical role in expanding contractual print services; which in turn assist businesses and institutions in enhancing printing management effectiveness, leading to better savings and productivity.”

“Lexmark’s announcement comes as a part of its continuous efforts to provide effective and innovative solutions to its customers all over the world, expand its business scope, and enhance its presence in global markets.”
