CAIRO — As Round 21 of the Egyptian Premier League came to a close, the title race took another intriguing turn with Zamalek emerging as the new leaders of the table on 43 points, capping off an impressive run of form.

Hot on their heels are Pyramids FC, who occupy second place with 40 points, while Al-Ahly sits third on the same tally, trailing only on goal difference.

Ceramica Cleopatra, meanwhile, wrapped up the first-half of the season in fourth place with 38 points, keeping themselves firmly in the race near the summit of the table.

Zamalek 1-0 Al-Ittihad

Zamalek secured their eighth consecutive victory after defeating Al-Ittihad of Alexandria 1-0 at Cairo International Stadium in the 21st round of the Egyptian Premier League.

With this win, Zamalek increased their points tally to 43, maintaining their sole lead in the league standings. Al-Ittihad remains in 14th place with 20 points.

Al-Ahly 3–1 Contractors

Al-Ahly returned to winning ways with an impressive 3–1 victory over Arab Contractors at the Arab Contractors Stadium in the 21st round of the Egyptian Premier League.

Marwan Hamdy opened the scoring for Pyramids in the 42nd minute, before Mahmoud Zalaka doubled the lead in the 62nd minute.

Haras El-Hodood reduced the deficit through a 70th-minute penalty converted by Mohamed Ashraf Rouka, but Youssef Obama wrapped up the victory with a late strike in the 87th minute.

NBE Club climbs to eighth place with 26 points from 19 matches, after registering five wins, 11 draws, and three losses, with 18 goals scored and 13 conceded.

El-Gouna 0-0 Wadi Degla

The match between El-Gouna and Wadi Degla ended in a goalless draw at Khaled Bishara Stadium.

With this result, El-Gouna occupies 10th place in the Egyptian League table with 25 points, while Wadi Degla sits in 6th place with 29 points.

Al-Masry 2-0 Ismaily

Al-Masry of Port Said achieved a thrilling 2-0 victory over Ismaily at Borg El-Arab Stadium.

With this result, Al-Masry occupies fifth place with 32 points, while Ismaily is in a difficult position at the bottom of the standings with 11 points, as Ismaily failed to correct their course under the new technical leadership of Khaled Galal.

Talae El-Geish 2–1 Petrojet

Talae El-Gaish secured a hard-fought 2–1 victory over Petrojet at Petrosport Stadium.

Despite the defeat, Petrojet sits 11th in the league table with 25 points from 20 matches, having recorded five wins, 10 draws, and five defeats.

Talae El-Geish moves to 19 points from 19 matches, placing them 15th in the standings after four wins, seven draws, and eight losses.
