Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi lauded the performance of the Egyptian
champoins in Poland’s International Pentathlon Championship.
The minister hailed the efforts of the Egyptian Pentathlon Federation, led by its president Sherif Ahmed el-Erian.“
They have made history by improving Egypt’s standing in the international sports
arena,” the minister said.
The delegation of the under-17s national pentathlon youth team took the podium in
the Polish International Modern Pentathlon Championship in Junkov, Poland on 2-
7 February.
Alia Mahmoud won with 1,369 points and Ali Ehab came away with gold with for
1,459 points in the under-17s heats.
