Egyptian weightlifter Sara Samir delivered an outstanding performance at the Taranto 2026 Mediterranean Games, winning two gold medals in the women’s 77kg category.
Samir claimed her first gold medal in the snatch competition by lifting 110kg.
She then secured her second gold in the clean and jerk with a 137kg lift, cementing her status as one of Egypt’s top athletes and adding to the nation’s growing medal tally at the Games, which run through September 3.
