CAIRO – The Egyptian Modern Pentathlon Federation said that the number of participating countries in the UIPM 2022 Pentathlon World Cup, to be held in Cairo on March 22-27, rose to 40 states.
Along with the host country Egypt, the participating countries are Afghanistan, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Côte d’Ivoire, the Czech Republic, France, Gambia, Georgia, Germany, Britain, Guatemala, Hungary, along with India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Kuwait, Lithuania, Mexico, Moldova, Mauritius, Poland , Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sudan, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Uganda, Ukraine, the UAE, the US, and Uzbekistan.
Russia and Belarus will not take part in the competition because of the Russian-Ukrainian crisis.
The delegations are expected to start arriving in Egypt on March 13.
