CAIRO — The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) has sacked national team head coach Hossam Hassan and appointed Ceramica Cleopatra manager Ali Maher as his replacement, according to a statement issued on Saturday.

Following a board meeting, the EFA also decided to part ways with Hassan’s coaching and administrative staff.
The move was made in line with the terms of their contracts.

The EFA thanked Hassan for his efforts during his time in charge and wished him well for the next stage of his career.
