“We are so proud to support this program as a testament to the enduring cultural partnership between the Egyptian and American people and as further proof of Egypt’s leading role in global tourism, sports, and the creative industry throughout the Middle East,” added the US diplomat.
“The Harlem Globetrotters are a team built on diversity and committed to bringing together people from all backgrounds and physical abilities to foster cultural exchange and community pride,” the statement says.
“While in Egypt, the Harlem Globetrotters will conduct community basketball clinics with women athletes and youth groups, in addition to an event with wheelchair basketball players from the Al Hassan Foundation for Differently Abled Inclusion,” the statement added.
