CAIRO — Egypt once again showed why it is one of Africa’s leading table tennis nations with another impressive performance at the African Youth Championships in Accra, Ghana. The team’s success reflected the continued progress of the sport and the strength of its youth programme.

A dominant display

Egypt finished the championships at the top of the medal table after adding two silver medals and one bronze on the final day, capping another remarkable campaign.

The triumph came just days after Egypt won 20 medals at the African Under-15 and Under-19 Championships, also held in Accra, including seven gold, five silver and eight bronze.
