Egypt’s para-taekwondo player Salma Ali on Wednesday snatched the Grand Prix gold medal in Mexico.
The 10th World Para Taekwondo Championships started on Wednesday and will end on September 24 in Mexico, Veracruz.
Minister of Youth and Sports Dr Ashraf Sobhi congratulated Ali on her distinguished performance in the championship.
Minister Sobhi wished her more progress and excellence in the coming tournaments she will take part.
The minister lauded the players’ achievements during the championship, saying “they have made a history through improving the country’s status at international sports arena.”
Minister Sobhi said that his ministry is always keen to boost the Egyptian paralympic champions through offering them all possible assistance to achieve success.
