LJUBIJANA — Egypt’s Salah Allam has struck gold on the international stage, claiming the Under-13 boys’ singles title at the Slovenia International Youth Table Tennis Championships.
The young Egyptian produced a standout performance to finish top of the podium.
Allam defeated an Italian player 3-0 in the final, after beating a Singaporean player 3-1 in the semi-finals and a Croatian player 3-2 in the quarter-finals.
The tournament is being held in Slovenia from Aug. 25 to 31.
