CAIRO – Pyramids FC claimed a valuable triumph at the 2nd week of the Egyptian Premier League 2023-2024 season as Zamalek held to draw.

At Cairo’s Al-Salam Stadium, Pyramids FC defeated NBE Club.

The match sole goal came from striker Ibrahim Adel in the 69th minutes.

The victory pushed Pyramids to lead the standing with 4 points from two matches as NBE Club stayed in 17th place without any win from two games.

At Cairo International Stadium, a late strike by Ahmed Alaa earned Arab Contractors a 1-1 draw to Zamalek.

Playmaker Youssef Obama had put the White knights ahead in the 83rd minutes.

The goal gave Juan Carlos Osorio’s side hope that their fortunes were on the rise after they have played out a thrilling 2-2 draw against Pyramids FC in their league opener last week.

But five minutes before stoppage time, Arab Contractors equalised when defender Alaa scored with a diving header from a free kick into the box.

This result leaves the White Knights winless in 9th place with two points from two games as Arab Contractors are in 12th place with one point from two matches.
