CAIRO – Egypt has dominated the 2023 awards of the International Union of Modern Pentathlon (UIPM).
The national pentathlon federation, team, coach Sayed Jawid Khawar, and coaching staff were chosen as the best globally.
Also, Mohannad Shaaban was announced as the best male pentathlete, while Malak Ismail and Farida Khalil were named the best female pentathletes for the U21 and U17 categories respectively.
Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi hailed the achievement, stressing that the state is making great efforts to advance all sports in light of unprecedented support from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
