Egypt’s women’s volleyball team won the African championship for the fourth time and qualified for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics for the first time in their history, the Youth and Sports Ministry said on Friday.
Egypt defeated hosts Kenya 3-0 in the final, securing their first continental title since 2003 and ending a 23-year wait.
The victory secured Egypt’s qualification for the 2027 World Championship and the Los Angeles Olympics.
