Egypt won the men’s sabre team bronze medal at the 2026 World Fencing Championships after edging Israel 39-38 in a closely contested third-place playoff.
The result capped a strong showing for Egypt at the championships, which are being held in Hong Kong from July 22 to 30.
Egyptian fencer Mohamed Amer also claimed bronze in the men’s individual sabre competition.
