Egypt secured the bronze medal at the U17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) after defeating hosts Morocco 2–0 victory in the third-place playoff at the Mohammed VI Football Complex.
The result came after the young Pharaohs had already qualified for the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar later this year.
Mohamed El-Sayed El-Diesel opened the scoring in the 33rd minute before Ahmed Bashir added the second goal in stoppage time.
