Egypt will host the 2027 CAF U-23 Africa Cup of Nations, which will serve as the qualification tournament for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced in a statement on its official website on Monday.
CAF awarded Egypt the hosting rights after the country fulfilled the required hosting criteria and provided the necessary government guarantees, MENA reported.
Egypt’s hosting of the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations reflects CAF’s confidence in the country’s ability to stage major continental tournaments, thanks to its extensive organisational experience, advanced infrastructure and sporting facilities.
