The Egyptian national football team started its closed training camp on Thursday to begin final preparations for the opening round of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
The Pharaohs will face Angola in their opening qualifier at Cairo Stadium on September 25 at 10:00 PM Cairo Time.
The team will then travel to Juba to play South Sudan on September 29, before returning to Cairo for a friendly match against South Africa on October 4.
Egypt is the most successful team in AFCON history with seven titles.
The qualifying campaign features 48 nations competing for spots at the 2027 tournament, which will be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania from June 19 to July 17, 2027.
