The Egyptian Weightlifting Federation has officially named the squad who will represent the country at the Mediterranean Championship.
This event is scheduled to be held in Ismailia from May 14 to 17.
The coaching staff has chosen a talented group of lifters from across the nation to compete for top honors on home soil.
The women’s team features Sara Samir, Nidal Mohamed Ali, and Mariam Khaled.
The men’s team consists of Omar Mohamed Antar, Saeed Helal, Omar Mahmoud Gabr, and Mahmoud El-Sayed Rabie. These competitors represent various local clubs and national sports programmes.
This championship is part of a busy period for sports in the city, as it begins immediately after the World Junior Weightlifting Championships end in Ismailia.
