SEATTLE (United States) — Egypt’s national football team completed its final training session in Seattle on Friday ahead of Saturday’s decisive Group G clash against Iran in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The match is scheduled to kick off at 6:00 a.m. Cairo Local Time.
Midfielder Hamdi Fathi and defender Hossam Abdel Maguid took part in part of Friday’s training session.
The session was attended by Egyptian Football Association President Hany Abu Rida, who also supervises the national team, EFA Vice President and head of the delegation Khaled El-Darandaly, and board members Moustafa Abu Zahra, Mohamed Abu Hussein, and Tareq Abu El Enein.
Egypt top Group G with four points, followed by Iran and Belgium on two points each, while New Zealand is bottom with one point ahead of the final round of group-stage matches
