ORAN — Egypt’s national archery team won three gold medals at the 15th African Championships, currently being held in the Algerian city of Oran.
Ismail Ezzeldin claimed the gold medal in the boys’ under-18 individual event. while Nouray El-Sayed secured gold in the girls’ under-18 competition. The duo also captured the gold medal in the mixed under-18 event.
The championships also saw Egyptian archers set two new African records. Ezzeldin broke the continental under-18 individual record with a score of 650 points, while he and Nouray El-Sayed established a new African record in the under-18 mixed event with a total of 1,258 points.
