Al-Ahly announced on Wednesday the appointment of Danish coach Jess Thorup as the new Technical Director for the club’s first football team.
Thorup has signed a contract that will see him lead the team for the next two and a half years.
The agreement was finalised after a comprehensive process.
Osama Hilal, Director of Contracting and Scouting, successfully completed all administrative and financial negotiations.
The decision followed a crucial meeting convened by Captain Mahmoud el-Khatib, President of the club, with the Planning Committee and the Sports Director.
The meeting involved a thorough review of the football management’s strategic vision and concluded the consultative process aimed at selecting the most suitable coach to guide the team during this pivotal stage.
