CAIRO – Head of the Asian Chess Association (ACA) Sheikh Sultan ben Khalifa al Nuhuyyan congratulated Egypt for winning 13 medals in Africa Chess Championship, that was held on July 3-9.
Sports and Youth Minister Ashraf Sobhy received a letter from Sheikh Sultan who congratulated him on the great accomplishments realized by Egyptian chess teams during the championship.
The medals include 9 gold, three silver and one bronze.
He lauded Sobhy’s unwavering support of the Egyptian Chess Federation in its plan to develop chess board game in Egypt.
