The Nile Air has announced the signing of a co-operation agreement with Mayfair Jets to launch seven direct air routes linking the Red Sea resort city of Hurghada with several major European destinations.
The initiative is expected to strengthen Egypt’s position as a leading global tourism destination and enhance the competitiveness of the country’s tourism sector by improving connectivity with key European markets.
The new destinations scheduled for direct flights to Hurghada International Airport include Cologne, Nuremberg, Hanover, Berlin, Erfurt, and Leipzig in Germany, as well as Zurich in Switzerland.

According to Ahmed Arabi, Chief Commercial Officer at Nile Air, the agreement represents an important strategic step in the company’s international expansion plan and reflects growing confidence in Egypt as a tourism destination and in the operational capabilities of national airlines. He noted that the German market remains one of the most important sources of inbound tourism to Egypt.
Ayman Farouk, Deputy Chief Commercial Officer at Nile Air, added that the new routes are expected to significantly boost tourist arrivals to Hurghada, one of the leading destinations on the Red Sea, known for its advanced hotel infrastructure, natural attractions, beaches, and world-class diving sites.
