Amr Aboul-Enein, Chairman of EgyptAir, issued a decision appointing Yasser al-Ramly as Chairman and Managing Director of Sphinx Airlines, a low-cost airline, one of EgyptAir’s fledgling companies, which was established with the aim of obtaining a fair percentage of the low-cost travel market in Egyptian airports.
During the coming period, the company is scheduled to purchase or lease planes to establish a fleet commensurate with the purpose of its establishment, as the company’s planes are scheduled to depart from Sphinx International Airport during the month of October and operate from all airports in Egypt, whether on internal lines or to various Arab and foreign airports.
Al-Ramly has one of the most unique experiences, as he previously held many positions in EgyptAir and the aviation sector, including, for example, the director of the EgyptAir region in London, the head of the commercial sector in the airline company and the Chairman and Managing Director of Air Cairo.
