Eng. Mohamed Saeed Mahrous, Chairman of the Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation, took part in the meetings of the Airports Council International (ACI) and the General Assembly in Riyadh. The events, held under the auspices of Riyadh Airports Company, brought together a host of airport industry experts.
The meetings aimed to exchange expertise and perspectives on airport development, technology, and environmental sustainability, while adopting innovative ideas to enhance travel experiences and improve sustainability and security.
Egypt, represented by the Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation, participated as the representative for Africa. These meetings are recognised as a premier global gathering for airport leaders, focused on enhancing the competitiveness of airports and contributing to the overall development of the aviation industry, benefiting passengers and communities alike.
The conference, titled “The Global Race: How to Excel in a Competitive Airport Ecosystem,” was held in conjunction with the meetings. It aimed to boost industry competitiveness through initiatives centered on environmental sustainability, connectivity, market liberalisation, and redefining airport experiences.
