William Walsh, director general of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), said that passenger traffic is recovering faster than expected.
He added that during the next year 2023, it is expected that air traffic will recover and the percentage of reservations for travel will return to the time before the outbreak of coronavirus, which is a very promising indicator. He also noted that all airline CEOs see an improvement in demand for travel throughout the current year.
Walsh added that the near-term outlook remains positive even as the aviation sector faces new problems such as high oil prices, inflation and workforce shortages.
