Egyptian Airports Company has started preparations, in co-operation with Air Cairo, to transform Hurghada International Airport into a hub airport.
Chairman and CEO of the Egyptian Airports Company, Captain Wael el-Nashar, conducted an inspection tour of Hurghada International Airport accompanied by Hussein Sherif, Chairman of Air Cairo, to review the airport’s preparations for operating Air Cairo’s transit flights.

The tour included an inspection of the transit lounge, its facilities, passenger flow routes, and operational procedures to ensure smooth movement and seamless transfers between flights.
The tour also included reviewing the ongoing expansion works in the domestic terminal, monitoring progress at the passenger terminals, and checking the regularity of airport operations and the level of services provided to passengers.

These preparations are part of the Egyptian Airports Company’s efforts to improve operational efficiency and enhance the readiness of Egyptian airports to accommodate the growing demand for air travel. They also aim to strengthen the role of Hurghada International Airport as an important hub connecting different destinations and flights, while supporting inbound tourism to Egypt.
