By Mohamed Attia

Minister of Civil Aviation  Sameh El-Hefny announced that keeping flights safe is a top priority that cannot be compromised.

Speaking at a meeting for the National Committee for Combating Bird and Wildlife Hazards, the minister explained that stopping the dangers caused by birds and wildlife is a shared job.

It requires teamwork from different government ministries and agencies to keep the skies safe.

To prevent flight delays and keep passengers safe, the minister said officials must study bird migration paths. They also need to look at what attracts animals to airport grounds in the first place.

By doing this, Egypt can stop problems before they happen.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation is currently updating its tracking systems and safety steps to match the best international standards.

A big part of this plan relies on different agencies sharing information quickly. The minister emphasised that this teamwork is the best way to keep all Egyptian airports running safely.

The meeting included top aviation leaders, like Civil Aviation Authority Head Captain Sameh Fawzy and International Agreements Director Captain Karim Gamil, along with environment and safety experts from various government groups.

The main goal of the meeting was to create a clear national safety plan. During the session, the Civil Aviation Authority shared a new roadmap that follows rules set by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO).

Captain Karim Gamil showed the attendees exactly what each agency needs to do to keep birds away from runways.

Finally, the group looked at Cairo International Airport as a real-world example of how to handle these wildlife risks successfully.
