Mohamed Saeed Mahrous, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation, said that the company carried out an evacuation test for a fire event on the ground floor, within the framework of the instructions of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and the company’s plan to train all employees on evacuation procedures, in order to ensure the safety of all workers and increase the ability to efficiently confront emergency events.
Mahrous added that the experiment included the entire building of the Egyptian Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation, and all employees of the holding company, the aviation information technology company, and Aerotel were evacuated, and the experiment began by sounding the fire alarm at 11pm, informing the fire station and directing all elements to participate in the event and raise the state of emergency.
He said that the experience comes within the holding company’s plan for training to face any emergency in record time and measure the ability to face the crisis effectively, and maintain the security and safety of workers.
