The delegation was welcomed by Capt. Murad El-Sayed, Director of Hurghada International Airport, along with officials from various departments.

During the visit, Arab toured the departure and arrival halls of Terminals 1 and 2 to monitor passenger flow and identify any challenges. He reviewed the baggage handling systems in Terminal 1, inspected the duty-free zones, immigration counters, and the new CCTV monitoring system, which oversees all airport operations.

Arab emphasised the importance of co-operation between all stakeholders at Hurghada Airport to deliver high-quality services and ensure safety and comfort for travellers. He stated that providing a positive experience for passengers reflects well on Egypt’s airports and enhances the country’s global image.

Arab highlighted Hurghada International Airport’s pivotal role as a gateway to Egypt’s thriving tourism sector, positioning the country prominently on the global tourism map.

Capt. Wael Al-Nashar underlined the Civil Aviation Ministry’s commitment to increasing air traffic across all Egyptian airports. He noted the importance of maintaining operational efficiency and service quality, particularly during the current winter season, which has seen a significant uptick in tourist arrivals.

Egypt’s coastal cities, including Hurghada, remain popular destinations for international tourists seeking winter getaways, further cementing the airport’s importance in supporting the country’s tourism industry.
