The African Airlines Association (AFRA) recognised the Egyptian Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation for its contributions during the 56th Annual General Assembly in Cairo. The Secretary-General of AFRA, Abderahmane Berthé, expressed gratitude for the company’s support as one of the event’s main sponsors.

Eng. Ayman Arab, Chairman of the Egyptian Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation, highlighted the company’s commitment to fostering operational and strategic synergies between airlines and airports. He emphasised that Egypt is dedicated to sharing its expertise in airport management with African nations through training, consultancy, and navigation services.

“The company offers full technical, informational, and moral support to our African counterparts as part of Egypt’s leadership role on the continent,” Arab stated. He also underscored the importance of collaboration in improving operational efficiency and enhancing connectivity across Africa. The Egyptian Holding Company played a prominent role in the accompanying exhibition, showcasing its subsidiaries, including Cairo Airport Company, Egyptian Airports Company, Aviation Information Technology Company, and the National Air Navigation Services Company. The exhibition highlighted opportunities for collaboration in training, air traffic control certifications in English, and expanding flight routes to Egyptian airports.

Additionally, the company participated in workshops and panel discussions. Khaled El-Alfy, Assistant Chairman for Commercial, Economic, and Planning Affairs, delivered a presentation titled “Transforming Cairo Airport into a Global Hub through Innovation and Connectivity Enhancement.”

The recognition by AFRA reflects Egypt’s leadership in aviation and its ongoing efforts to promote co-operation and development in Africa.
