EgyptAir has successfully renewed its ISAGO (IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations) certification at Cairo Station for the tenth consecutive year. This achievement aligns with the directives of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and the EgyptAir Holding Company to enhance the performance and efficiency of all subsidiaries and affiliated entities, reflecting the prominence of Egypt’s civil aviation sector.
The comprehensive audits covered various aspects of ground services, passenger and baggage handling, station services, security services, air cargo, load control, and safety and quality procedures. Additionally, the audit evaluated the effectiveness of the Integrated Organisation Management System and the training programmes for all service personnel, ensuring compliance with international standards. The review also confirmed the efficiency of security measures and activities designed to safeguard aircraft, passengers, and their belongings.
The ISAGO programme aims to elevate safety, quality, and security standards at airports, minimise incidents, and reduce audit costs. EgyptAir’s participation in the audit was coordinated through the EgyptAir Holding Company’s Safety and Quality sector and Security sector, along with subsidiaries EgyptAir Ground Services, EgyptAir Airlines, EgyptAir Cargo, and EgyptAir Maintenance and Technical Works.
EgyptAir’s dedicated team collaborated extensively with the IATA inspection committee to facilitate the renewal of the ISAGO certification at the Cairo headquarters. These international accreditations are instrumental in attracting more global and regional airlines to utilise EgyptAir’s services.
In the closing session, the IATA inspection and audit committee announced the renewal of EgyptAir’s ISAGO certification for Cairo Station without any findings of non-compliance. The ceremony was attended by numerous EgyptAir executives, highlighting the national carrier’s commitment to maintaining high standards.
The ISAGO audit programme, developed by the International Air Transport Association (IATA), grants certification to ground service providers at airports through rigorous review and evaluation of safety compliance during ground handling operations.
