
Work teams to facilitate arrival procedures at Cairo, Sharm el-Sheikh airports

The Egyptian Ministry of Civil Aviation, represented by Cairo and Sharm el-Sheikh airports, and EgyptAir, is ready to receive international delegations participating in the World Youth Forum, which will be held in Sharm el-Sheikh on January 10-13 with the participation of youth delegations from all countries of the world.
Minister of Civil Aviation Mohamed Manar stressed the need to provide all facilities to receive Egypt’s guests participating in the World Youth Forum, which is of great importance in enhancing Egypt’s position and its leading role among the countries of the world.
The minister added that, during his inspection tour at Sharm el-Sheikh International Airport, he followed up the airport’s preparations to receive Egypt’s guests and the same situation with Cairo International Airport was reassured.
The minister added that he is following up the movement in the travel and arrival halls at the two airports to see the progress of work and follow up the security measures applied in accordance with the highest international standards and to ensure that all precautionary and preventive measures are applied in the various locations in the two airports.
The minister also reassured the quarantine officials of the availability of all possibilities for travel and arrival at Cairo and Sharm el-Sheikh airports.
The minister, meanwhile, called for providing all facilities to the guests of Egypt participating in this event, which hosts young people from different countries of the world.
The minister added that the forum sends a message of hope and optimism for young people that we are able to continue achievements, creativity and development on the land of peace in the city of Sharm el-Sheikh.
Minister Manar also expressed his appreciation and pride for all Egyptian airport workers for their great efforts and dedication to their work in light of the difficult climatic conditions witnessed by the countries of the world, including Egypt.
He, meanwhile, stressed that the human element, which represents the real wealth of the Egyptian civil aviation sector, has a great deal of responsibility, professionalism and training to ensure readiness of airports and raising work efficiency in all locations.
Chairman of the Egyptian Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation Engineer Mohamed Saeed Mahrous issued directives to Cairo and Sharm el-Sheikh International Airports to raise the state of emergency to receive the guests participating in the World Youth Forum.
Magdy Ishaq, President of Cairo Airport Company, said that conference banners were placed inside the travel and arrival halls at the airport to finalise arrival procedures, in coordination with EgyptAir, and to take them to Sharm el-Sheikh, as well as finalise travel procedures for ministers and dignitaries from the VIP lounge.
Major General Nabil El-Mallah, Director of Sharm el-Sheikh International Airport, added that the airport is completely ready to receive the forum’s delegations as four counters have been allocated to complete the procedures of its participants, with the formation of work teams around the clock to follow up on the regularity of the operating movement.
For his part, Amr Aboul-Enein, Chairman of EgyptAir Holding Company, stated that the National Company is the official carrier of delegations to the World Youth Forum in terms of its national role in sponsoring many international events and conferences that the state attaches great importance to.
He added that EgyptAir is organising 80 flights to Sharm el-Sheikh during the period from 7 to 15 January, with the company’s latest aircraft to transport the participating guests, while following all precautionary measures, starting from external stations in various airports around the world, to Cairo and Sharm el-Sheikh airports, and even leaving after the end of the forum’s work.
The work teams from various disciplines in EgyptAir have taken all the necessary measures in preparation for receiving the guests of the forum in coordination with all the authorities concerned to provide all facilities for the delegations to participate and book tickets in coordination with EgyptAir Karnak.
A promotional campaign was launched for the forum by placing its logo on board of all national company planes and on all seats of international and domestic flights.
The national company EgyptAir is also present in an advertising pavilion inside the World Youth Forum hall in Sharm el-Sheikh to provide all the necessary facilities for the participating delegations and introduce them to the various services of EgyptAir.
