Minister of Civil Aviation Mohamed Abbas Helmy yesterday discussed with Minister of Immigration and Egyptians Abroad Affairs Ambassador Suha Gendy mechanisms for providing a package of incentives to Egyptians abroad to facilitate their visits home.
The meeting discussed the study of providing incentives and encouraging prices for Egyptians abroad to travel on EgyptAir, including Egyptian students studying abroad, and coordination with the Ministry of Immigration regarding the large presence of Egyptian communities in some countries and the possibility of intensifying the flights of the national company to these countries or operating new flights to the points where there are large numbers of Egyptian communities.
Minister Helmy confirmed that the Ministry of Civil Aviation and all its subsidiaries are keen to provide all facilities and full support, overcome all obstacles and provide benefits to the people of Egypt abroad, in continuous co-operation and coordination with the Ministry of Immigration and various ministries and state institutions in order to serve the Egyptian communities in all countries of the world.
For her part, Ambassador El-Gendy indicated that the global crisis affected the movement of citizens between their countries of residence and their countries of origin, which called the ministry to propose a number of facilities for families residing abroad to increase their connection to the homeland.
