EgyptAir declares maximum readiness for Hajj return phase 12 - Egyptian Gazette

By Mohamed Attia

EgyptAir has successfully mobilised its extensive air bridge operations to facilitate the smooth return of pilgrims from Saudi Arabia.

Demonstrating a steadfast commitment to passenger welfare, the national carrier has introduced a comprehensive suite of enhanced services specifically tailored for this year’s Hajj season.

Captain Ahmed Adel

Highly trained field support teams have been strategically deployed across airports to streamline arrival procedures, minimise waiting times, and offer specialised on-ground and onboard assistance to elderly travelers and people with disabilities.

Minister of Civil Aviation Sameh el-Hefny emphasised that the return phase leverages the ministry’s full spectrum of technological and human resources to maximise airport operational efficiency and maintain the highest international standards.

Pilot Mohamed Alian

To ensure an uninterrupted flow of air traffic, EgyptAir has established robust coordination with domestic entities and Saudi authorities, allowing for immediate resolution of any operational challenges.

Notably, the ministry has introduced unprecedented logistical facilitations, such as deploying passport control officers and quarantine teams directly onto aircraft to finalize arrival procedures mid-flight, alongside pre-sorting baggage in Saudi Arabia to eliminate delivery delays.

In alignment with these ministerial directives, EgyptAir Holding Company’s leadership, including Chairman Pilot Ahmed Adel and EgyptAir Chairman Pilot Mohamed Alian, have committed all technical and operational assets to guarantee maximum passenger comfort.

This unified effort is further supported by an active delegation led by Amin Afifi, Assistant Head of the Commercial Affairs Sector for Stations, which is currently managing logistical operations directly from Jeddah and Medina airports.

Concurrently, the Cairo Airport Company, under the leadership of Accountant Magdy Ishaq Azer, has placed Cairo International Airport on maximum readiness.

Operating around the clock, dedicated airport personnel are continuously monitoring flight and baggage streams, reinforcing Egypt’s regional and international standing as a premier hub capable of managing high-density travel seasons with world-class efficiency.
