EgyptAir Cargo has concluded its participation in the El Alamein International Air and Space Expo 2026, securing critical commercial agreements and operational deals to drive its international expansion strategy.
Led by Chairman Captain Ihab El-Tahtawy, alongside Head of the Economic Sector Mohamed Zaki, the company engaged in extensive talks with top global freight forwarders and authorised sales agents.
These discussions resulted in the signing and renewal of major agency contracts across strategic markets, including Türkiye, Germany, the Benelux region, Jordan, and Hong Kong, significantly reinforcing the carrier’s international presence and competitiveness.
The discussions focused heavily on operational strategies for the upcoming winter season, leading to agreements that will boost cargo capacity across key long-haul routes.
Under the leadership of El-Tahtawy, the company secured boosted flight arrangements to destinations such as New York, São Paulo, Kuwait, Asmara, Juba, and Johannesburg, optimising intercontinental transit via its Cairo hub.
Looking further ahead, the executive team is evaluating long-haul charter routes linking Hong Kong to Mumbai to capture expanding trade volumes across Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, while also assessing new scheduled services to Sydney and Algiers.
To directly support Egyptian agricultural and trade exports, El-Tahtawy announced the addition of Cardiff, UK, to its winter flight schedule during meetings with commercial partners.
This strategic expansion into the Welsh market is designed to streamline the transport of Egyptian produce and perishables into the United Kingdom and broader European networks. These initiatives reflect EgyptAir Cargo’s long-term commitment to enhancing global trade connectivity.
