EgyptAir has announced major expansion plans to broaden its international network and boost regional travel.
On the sidelines of El Alamein International Airshow Chairman of the EgyptAir Holding Company Ahmed Adel, alongside Assistant Chairman Sherif Khalil, Head of Alliances and International Relations Rabab Hamdy Salem, Head of Commercial Affairs Amr Adawy, and Marketing Manager Ahmed Osama, held an extensive meeting with CEO of Flynas Bander Al-Mohanna and Saudi airline representatives.
The meeting focused on enhancing operational partnerships and exploring expanded codeshare agreements between Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
At the same event, EgyptAir signed a significant agreement to launch direct scheduled flights between Cairo International Airport and Stockholm Arlanda Airport.
Head of Commercial Affairs Amr Adawy highlighted that this service will feature four weekly flights starting December 18, 2026, using modern aircraft to serve both passenger travel and air cargo needs in the Nordic region.
Looking toward future growth, Adawy and EgyptAir’s network planning team met with the management of London Stansted Airport to discuss launching Cairo to London flights in 2027.
Additionally, Adawy and representatives from the General Administration for Network and Fleet Planning met with officials from Singapore Changi Airport, Sydney Airport, and Marseille Airport to map out direct routes to Singapore and Sydney in 2027, as well as seasonal summer flights to Marseille.
