Dr Randa Rizk, Secretary-General of the Arab Council for Social Responsibility, said that the award comes in light of the council’s continuous work to support sustainable development goals and to maximise humanitarian and volunteer work, especially in the era of community leadership.

The Secretary-General of the Arab Council for Social Responsibility emphasized the Egyptian and Arab efforts to support humanitarian and voluntary work to contribute to achieving sustainable development goals that would support development goals in the Arab world.

She added that the Arab Charitable Award aims to monitor the best charitable works directed in the Arab world, whether at the individual or institutional level.

During the past few weeks, the national company, EgyptAir, had contributed to many humanitarian works, as it received the young man, Mustafa Walid and his mother, to travel and gave them two free travel tickets on its MS 985 flight to New York to start the treatment journey in the United States.

This comes according to the instructions of Minister of Civil Aviation Mohamed Manar, who ordered the provision of all necessary travel facilities for the sick condition, based on the societal role that the national company attaches great importance to.

Special meals were also prepared on the plane to suit his sick condition, and he was received on the plane with a cake bearing his picture, which brought him joy and happiness, and a team of public relations at EgyptAir at Cairo Airport completed all travel procedures for them to New York.

Also, on the basis of the pioneering role played by EgyptAir and the social responsibility that rests on it to support and encourage everyone who needs psychological support and moral assistance, especially the new generation, a number of pilots and hospitality companies at EgyptAir Airlines visited the children of Hospital 57357 on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.

The EgyptAir delegation distributed souvenirs to the children, participated in their entertainment and artistic work, and took memorial photos with them, wishing them a full and speedy recovery.

During the visit, a public relations team at the hospital accompanied the EgyptAir delegation on an inspection tour of the hospital’s departments and wards, children’s treatment rooms, pharmacies, and modern laboratories.

The delegation of EgyptAir praised the medical level that characterizes Hospital 57357, in addition to the presence of a medical and nursing team at the highest level of efficiency and skill, which plays its role to the fullest.

At the end of the visit, the children’s families thanked EgyptAir for its constant interest and keenness to raise the morale of their children, which would contribute to their faster recovery.
