In line with the state’s directives, Wael El-Nashar, Chairman and Managing Director of the Egyptian Airports Company (EAC), chaired the company’s Executive Committee meeting from the Operations Centre at the headquarters, via video conference, to review the latest developments in airport operations and discuss several operational and administrative matters.
El-Nashar stressed the importance of following the government’s plan and the prime minister’s directives on reducing energy consumption and making better use of available resources. He called for reviewing electricity consumption rates and regulating the use of company vehicles to reduce waste and ensure efficient use of resources, without affecting operational requirements or the regularity of air traffic.

He also directed the preparation of an integrated plan in coordination with airport managers, engineers responsible for civil and mechanical works, and IT specialists, in co-operation with the relevant contracts departments. The plan will cover maintenance work and energy-saving measures based on the actual needs of each airport, with the aim of improving operational efficiency and maintaining service standards.
During the meeting, el-Nashar reviewed reports from airport managers on passenger traffic and flight movements. He stressed the need to provide full support to airlines in case of any flight schedule changes due to current regional circumstances.
He also called for maintaining a high level of readiness at all airports to deal with any developments or emergencies, ensuring smooth operations and the safety of air traffic.
