Minister of Civil Aviation Sameh El-Hefny has met with Airbus Helicopters Sales Manager for Egypt Maxime Nicolas to discuss joint co-operation and the expansion of helicopter operations across the Egyptian market.

Abou Ghaly Motors Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Mohamed Abou Ghaly, and Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade Commercial Representation Department Second Commercial Secretary for Investment Promotion Noha Siam were present at the meeting.

Discussions focused on the projects proposed by Airbus Helicopters and strategic avenues to deploy rotary-wing aircraft across vital sectors, including tourism, business aviation, and emergency medical services.

During the meeting, Minister El-Hefny emphasised the ministry’s commitment to broadening partnerships with international leaders to leverage advanced technical expertise, modernise the civil aviation framework, and create new operational opportunities in compliance with international regulatory standards.

Nicolas, for his part, expressed the company’s keenness to deepen its investment footprint in Egypt.

He also noted the importance of working closely with aviation authorities to address certification and operational requirements tailored to national civil, medical, and tourism needs.
