Cairo International Airport has welcomed Riyadh Air’s first direct flight, marking the launch of a new route connecting Cairo and Riyadh. The inaugural service was operated using a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
The inaugural Flight, RX331, arrived in Cairo in the presence of the Saudi ambassador to Egypt and a number of officials from the civil aviation sector and Cairo International Airport.

The Cairo International Airport warmly welcomed the flight by organising a special reception. The airport’s public relations team greeted passengers with flowers and commemorative gifts, while the aircraft was welcomed with a water cannon salute upon arrival.
The launch of this new route represents an important step towards promoting air connectivity between Egypt and Saudi Arabia, amid growing demand for travel between the two countries for tourism, business and family visits.
Riyadh Air announced that the new route will initially operate one daily flight between Cairo and Riyadh, with the frequency increasing to two daily flights
