The Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority has accredited the Aviation English Language Training and Assessment Centre to assess and train air traffic control officers for the English language in aviation.
The National Air Navigation Services Company held a celebration on this occasion, attended by Eng. Mohamed Said Mahrous, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation, and Ehab Mohy Azmy, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Air Navigation Services Company.
During the ceremony, Eng. Mahrous thanked the centre’s administrators, including language trainers and evaluators, and pointed out the importance of their role in maintaining the highest air safety standards required by the International Civil Aviation Organisation.
Azmy stated that the English Language Training and Assessment Center at the National Air Navigation Services Company is one of the most important centers in the region and hosts many missions from Arab and African countries for training in Cairo.
It is worth noting that the language of communication between air traffic control officers and pilots bears great importance, as the slightest misunderstanding of the instructions issued by air traffic control officers can lead to many accidents.
