The launch of the New Republic during the first conference of the century’s project, namely the ‘Decent Life’ project, opens, undoubtedly, a new chapter in the history of our country under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
This man has made miracles, especially when it comes to construction, development and urbanisation.
The ‘Decent Life’ initiative is the epitome of a new struggle for the development of 658 villages. The government will invest LE700 billion in this development process.
The project is certainly the greatest to be implemented in Egypt in modern times. It aims to build the capabilities of Egyptian citizens and effect comprehensive development in our country.
It also aims to eradicate poverty and reduce pressures on ordinary citizens, especially needy families in 4,658 villages.
This project will improve the living conditions of more than half the Egyptian population by formulating an integrated roadmap for development.
Egypt’s development experience of the past seven years has become a source of inspiration for the whole world. It goes beyond an achievement and teeters on the edge of a miracle.
These national projects encourage Egyptians to aspire for the best in all fields. State institutions are reacting by making the best planning and the quickest implementation of this planning for the execution of mega national projects that have become a source of pride for all Egyptians.
Under the leadership of President Sisi, Egypt is transitioning into technological development and very strongly at that. This development aims to localise technologies. There also has been unprecedented progress in education, health, electricity, the roads and housing.
At the University of Tanta, we work hard to cope with all these achievements and back Egypt’s sustainable development vision.
We do this by applying the most modern scientific and technological research in the fields of artificial intelligence.
The university has already launched seven major projects, including the construction of the first smart university hospital in Mahalla al-Kobra. This hospital will serve patients in the governorates of the Nile Delta.
The university also launched the first educational television channel on the Egyptian satellite, Nile Sat. The channel will back distance learning activities in the university and Africa, especially at this time of the pandemic.
We also hammered out the university’s first partnership in Africa by making plans for the construction of a branch of the university in Djibouti. This university branch will present educational services to our brothers and sisters in Africa. This is important especially after Egypt succeeded in regaining its position of leadership in Africa under Sisi’s leadership.
We will start the construction of our first private university soon. This university will follow international specifications in all fields.
We also launched the project for transitioning into the 3rd generation of universities by backing the technological infrastructure in all colleges and digitising all services. We will also enter the age of artificial intelligence by opening the first department for smart robots where students will be trained in the most modern technologies in ways that make the required links between study, on one hand, and the local and international career market, on the other.
Our university makes preparations for the establishment of 900 900 hospital, which will be the first smart university teaching hospital in Mahalla al-Kobra. The establishment of the hospital will cost LE1 billion. It will be the jewel in the crown of the health sector in the central part of the Nile Delta. The hospital will be provided with modern equipment so that it can offer the best quality of medical and health services to citizens. It will treat patients, depending on a select group of specialists from the College of Medicine at the university.
The hospital moved from a mere idea to a plan and then actual implementation in a matter of four months, quite an achievement. The plot of land where the hospital will be constructed was specified for the construction of the College of Applied Arts.
Its construction will take place over three phases. The hospital will have a total of 600 beds.
We also have started the construction of the Friends of Tanta University Charity Foundation which will generate funds for the construction of the hospital. The foundation encourages social participation in the implementation of important projects. A large number of the residents of Gharbia Governorate were keen to contribute funds for the construction of the hospital. The contributions in fact exceeded our best expectations. They demonstrate the love of Egyptians for their country and their enthusiasm for major national projects.
The hospital will serve everybody with no exception. Everybody can also contribute to the construction of the hospital.
