The Tanta University has recently started work to build the “900900 Hospital” in the Delta city of el-Mahalla el-Kobra, the Governorate of Gharbia, on a total area of 12,000 square metres, and estimated cost of one billion bounds.

900900 Hospital is an epic that embodies the Gharbia governorate citizens’ generosity and devotion to homeland.

We seek to enhance Egypt’s vision of sustainable development and to serve patients in the Delta governorates. We tried to finish work in a short time and all procedures were over in 120 days instead of 18 months.

The hospital was designed in line with the acknowledged global specifications with a capacity of 600 beds, and 30 intensive care units.

Tanta University organised a function for launching the “Tanta University Partners”, “900900 Hospital”. Scores of university vice presidents, former university presidents, deans of faculties, managers of university hospitals, a group of media and public figures, leaders of executive bodies, members of the parliament, and some businessmen from Gharbia attended the event.

In fact, forming the “Tanta University Partners” to build the first smart hospital in el-Mahalla is a pride for all residents in Delta who donated for this purpose. It is a national project that reflects the ability of Egyptians.

Building 900900 Hospital comes in line with Egypt’s sustainable development strategy 2030 and in response to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s directives to offer better health care services to people nationwide.

The project will include three buildings. The first is the emergency hospital. The second is maternity and pediatric hospital. The third is a health care hospital with a capacity of 600 beds.

Businessmen, individuals and civil entities are welcomed to donate for the hospital.
