President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s national mega-projects offer large opportunities and a source of hope for Egyptians. Therefore, the government has taken serious steps to plan and execute such projects that are considered a source of pride for citizens and a worldwide focus of attention.
With strength and a spirit of patriotism, Egypt under President Sisi rushed towards the open competition for unprecedented development, technology and progress in education, health sector, electricity, housing and several other fields.
Tanta University is part of the national system for achieving development in Egypt and it sought to achieve its rightful place among the major universities in the world through the outstanding use of the latest digital methods in teaching and training, for both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Today, Tanta University is working on building the 900900 Hospital, the first smart university hospital, in the Delta city of el-Mehalla el-Kobra, el-Gharbiya Governorate, at an estimated cost of LE1 billion.
The hospital, which is to be the most outstanding medical establishment in the middle of the Nile Delta, aims to provide the best medical services by the university’s faculty of medicine professors. It will be provided with state-of-the-art medical equipment.
The procedures of reallocating the land for the hospital and designing the sketches by myself as an international expert took 120 days instead of 18 months.
The hospital was designed in line with the acknowledged global specifications, and it includes three buildings: the emergency hospital, the maternity and paediatric hospital and the healthcare hospital, with a capacity of 600 beds.
Tanta University Partners’ Foundation was formed to fund the hospital project via self-help efforts and donations from el-Gharbiya Governorate reflect the solidarity of society members.
