Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly delivered on Wednesday Egypt’s statement at a summit on Palestine and the two-state solution.

 The summit was co-chaired by the UK, France and Canada, on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.

Egypt to prioritise local development in new budget

Egypt’s Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk said developing local resources in Egypt’s governorates will be a priority in the new budget for the coming fiscal year.

Speaking during a discussion session on development efforts in Aswan on Wednesday, Kouchouk said part of locally generated resources should be redirected to the areas where they originate through impactful development projects.

Egypt Family Health survey finds 18.2% fertility decline

The preliminary results of Egypt’s 2025 Family Health Survey show improvements in several population and health indicators, including a decline in the average number of children per woman to 2.33, from 2.85 in 2021, marking an 18.2% decrease.

Head of the Central Agency for Public Mobilisation and Statistics (CAPMAS), Akram El-Gohary, announced the findings during a ceremony held on Wednesday to release the survey’s preliminary results.

Trump’s Board of Peace to unveil $2.45b Gaza recovery plan

US President Donald Trump’s Board of Peace will unveil a ​six-month, $2.45 billion recovery plan for Gaza at a meeting ‌of its members on Wednesday, Axios reported.

The 66-project proposal includes estimated spending for temporary housing, rubble removal, hospital repairs, economic recovery and the deployment ​of a multinational security force, the report added, citing a ​copy of the plan.
